International Students
The New York Studio School is authorized under federal law to enroll
non-immigrant alien students to its programs. Upon acceptance, the
foreign student is required to present a declaration of finances,
which proves the student's ability to live and study in the U.S.
for one year without employment. Foreign students must pay the first
semester's tuition in full, as well as a $300 foreign student processing
fee, before an I-20 Student Visa is issued. This payment is non-refundable.
In addition, all international students, who come from countries
where English is not the primary language, are required to present
proof that they have a working knowledge of spoken English. This
proof must be in the form of test scores from the Test of English
as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). For more information on these tests,
write to Educational Testing Service, P.O. Box 6154, Princeton,
NJ 08541-6154.
As the School cannot provide English language support for international
students, minimum test scores are required. For further information
see the application guidelines on the admissions forms.
Note to International Students: The School is unable to return
any slides, photographs, or other materials submitted in application,
unless international postage coupons are provided.
If you require more information about applying for an F-1 Student
Visa, please contact the Director of Student Services via email.
