Born 1955 in Los Angeles
Live and work in New York and Austin, Texas
Considering all the little bits of day-to-day existence that you sort and file away, mixing anticipation with glimpses of memory. It's surprising how little of what you see and encounter is taken in and only intermittently noticed. My work attempts to make sense of that accumulation.
I began working in collage with the belief that everyday elements such as books and magazines could be used to make unexpected sense.
I live in Austin, Texas and New York and recently graduated with an MFA from the New York Studio School, which has an intense focus on painting. Formerly an executive in high-technology, I’ve escaped to the world of art-making and unexpectedly found it more daunting.
