Kamilla Talbot studied at The Rhode Island School of Design and The
New York Studio School. She has taught painting at the New York
Studio School, and currently teaches watercolor at the National
Academy School. In addition to classes taught at the school, she
teaches plein-air classes on Governors Island. Numerous residencies
include Skriduklaustur, Iceland; Pouch Cove, Newfoundland; and a
fully funded residency at the Vermont Studio Center. She was a
resident artist in the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's World Trade
Center Residency in 2001. One person exhibitions include Bruno Marina
Gallery in Brooklyn, and The Johannes Larsen Museum in Denmark. In
the summer of 2007 she will have two joint exhibitions in Denmark
with her husband, the painter Michael Herstand, at The Johannes
Larsen Museum and at Galleri Varming. Numerous group shows include
Lori Bookstein Fine Art, NY; George Billis Gallery, NY; The Painting
Center, NY; The Washington Art Association, CT; Gallery North, NY;
Bowery Gallery, NY and The Baltimore Museum of Art, MD.
