Living Threads highlights the artist-to-artist relationships which foster ideas and energy foundational to a sustained artistic practice. The New York Studio School seeks to honor our pedagogical foundations and to applaud the like-minded transmission of artistic learning by hosting this invitational exhibition. The twenty-six pieces on view present works by thirteen pairs of artist-mentors and the emerging artists who have studied with them in recent years.

We invite you to experience work from across the country by:

Dana Clancy and Rebecca Ness (Boston University);

Jennifer Caine and Luca Molnar (Dartmouth College);

Claire Sherman and Jenny Knoeller (Drew University);

Ying Li and Claudia Keep (Haverford College);

Caleb Weintraub and Anna Alger (Indiana University at Bloomington);

Edward Smith and Christina Tinti (Marist College);
