
John Dubrow, Painter
After studies at Syracuse University, NY, and the Camberwell School of Art in London, Dubrow received his BFA and MFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute.
He has worked in New York City since 1983. His solo exhibitions include the Forum Gallery (NY) and Salander-O'Reilly Galleries (NY). Group exhibitions at
the Hackett Freedman Gallery (San Francisco), New York Studio School, and the San Francisco Art Institute have included his work. He has received the Truman
Prize from the National Academy of Design and has been awarded a Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant. Dubrow's work is held in the collections of the Metropolitan
Museum of Art and the National Academy of Design among others.
