Graham Nickson
, Painter.

Dean of the New York Studio School, originator of the Drawing Marathon. Studied at Royal College of Art, and Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, both in England. Represented by Salander-O’Reilly Galleries, NY. One person exhibitions include Salander-O’Reilly Galleries, NY; Camino Real Gallery, FL; Adelaide Central Art Gallery, Australia; and Arkansas Art Center. A traveling exhibition opens in May, 2000, at the Frye Art Museum, WA. Works in the collection of Albright Knox Art Gallery, NY; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; The Neuberger Museum, NY; La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, CA; The Israel Museum; and numerous private collections. Awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship; The Prix de Rome; Harkness Fellowship, Yale University; Howard Foundation Fellowship, Brown University; and an Ingram Merrill Award.
