Art historian and critic, Phyllis Tuchman's writings on George Segal include an Abbeville Press monograph; magazine and newspaper articles; numerous exhibition catalogue essays as well as interviews for Art in America and ARTNews. In 1992, Ms. Tuchman organized a major retrospective of Segal's work for the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas Sofía Imber.
