From the Bordello to the Clinic: The Consciousness Raising of Thomas Eakins
NY-based painter Dennis Kardon (b. 1950) received a BA in Art from Yale and teaches at the School of Visual Arts, NY. Solo NYC exhibitions include Mitchell Algus Gallery and Fred Valentine Gallery. Honors include a Tiffany Foundation Grant, Guggenheim Fellowship, and a Purchase Award by the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Public collections include MoMA, Brooklyn Museum, Jewish Museum, and MFA Boston. His writing has been featured in Art in America and Art Critical.
