The 2005 Merit Show, featuring the work of thirteen senior students and recent graduates of the New York Studio School, will take place this year at the Robert Steele Gallery in Chelsea, from July 6- 12,. The School is very grateful to Robert Steele Gallery for generously hosting this event.

For many years, The Merit Show was an eagerly anticipated fixture in the New York Studio School calendar. Selection for the coveted honor of taking part in this showcase exhibition was by faculty vote at the previous year's "final crits". Artists selected thus include both senior students and recent graduates. 2005 actually marks the last Merit Show as the event has merged with the newly introduced MFA Thesis Show
