Summer Session
The New York Studio School annual Summer Session
begins with the two-week Drawing and Sculpture Marathons. These
are followed by five-week painting and sculpture courses.
The School's location in the heart of New York City's cultural
center, and its proximity to many major museums and galleries provide
an extraordinary resource for foreign students and students from
around the country.
Those enrolled in full-time programs elsewhere are encouraged to
take advantage of the Summer Session. The session also offer students
the opportunity to get a taste of the School's full-time program
prior to enrollment.
The Summer Session is organized in specific paths in order to better
facilitate an entire teaching and learning process. The individual
parts of the program are listed below.
Summer Session 2008
Each in-house Marathon is available as a separate intensive. However,
we encourage students to take the full seven-week concentrations
in order to fully take advantage of the opportunities provided.
Costs are listed below. For more information on the Sculpture Materials fee and the Arbor Vitae fees, please see here or contact the Director of Student Services.
